What are sayin... This episode delves into the idea that there is no true opposite to consciousness; rather, what we perceive as 'unconscious' is merely different levels of accessibilty to consciousness (phenomena or the phenomenal). I challenge binary terms and explore life as an uninterrupted continuum of consciousness that shows up differently according to different bodies and contexts, and is not always a matter of 'being like' anything reportable. Consciousness does not have to be reportable to be consciousness, and its confused use as meta-consciousness would be better if we clarified what we really mean by the term. 00:00 Introduction to the Research Diary 00:21 Exploring Consciousness 01:08 Consciousness vs. Unconsciousness 01:31 Consciousness in Comatose and Knocked-Out States 01:43 Consciousness Beyond Reportability 02:34 Nested Levels of Consciousness 04:06 The Role of Feeling in Consciousness 05:10 Consciousness and Intelligence 12:07 Draft of intro Discussion with Bernardo 14:23 Final Thoughts and Gratitude
