#memory #diary #philosophy #hippocampus #andreahiott hey everybody, this research rambling starts with a walk down the street, then it it is the intro the next talk I had with Lynn Nadel which posts for members today and for everyone as a podcast in a week or so. this one discusses the complexities of hippocampal function, the idea of transcending the present moment, and the intertwined nature of space, time, and memory. With references to historical and contemporary theories, including the cognitive map theory and quantum entanglement, this diary is the unscripted one take introduction to the 4th conversation I've had with Nadel, this is on on his 2021 paper 'The Hippocampal Formation and Action at a Distance'. In this diary i try and get into the intricate processes underlying memory and cognition.
